Jethro Justice uses technology and education to make family courts fairer — so cases turn on the merits and the child's best interest, not on who can afford a lawyer. We serve parents navigating the system without representation, and the attorneys and advocates who support them.
The name
In Exodus 18, Jethro watched Moses trying to judge every dispute in Israel by himself and told him it could not work. He designed a tiered system of judges so ordinary people could actually be heard. He was, in effect, the first legal-operations consultant. The name is a reminder that access to justice is a design problem.
Our model, and its limits
We provide legal information, analysis, and education only. We do not practice law. We route every case-specific question to licensed attorneys. That boundary is not a disclaimer we bolt on at the end — it is built into how the product works. The guided organizer stops and flags anything that requires legal judgment rather than answering it.
Who we serve
Parents representing themselves in custody, visitation, divorce, paternity, and child-support cases — and ultimately anyone facing civil court without a lawyer.
Founder
Sherman A. Cross founded Jethro Justice after representing himself in a case no attorney would take, and winning. He is proximate to the problem by experience, not by study.

Jethro Justice, Inc. is a New York not-for-profit corporation, incorporated July 6, 2026 (NY DOS ID 7990425), based in New York City. Governance documents including bylaws and a conflict-of-interest policy were adopted by the board on July 20, 2026.
